THE RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK

The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a very noble breed,  known for their power, dedication and courage.  The ridge on their  back is their identifying mark.  Our Ridgback today is descended from a variety of breeds which were crossed by settlers of South Africa and Rhodesia with the native dogs of the Hottentot tribe.  Having superb hunting ability, they were used for tracking and trailing large animals and also kept them at bay for the hunters.

The ridgeback is a devoted family dog, loyal to his owner, and reserved with strangers.  A dog with independent character, who takes his responsibilities of companionship, protection and family dedication to heart.  They never forget love and understading, nor do they lightly forgive harsh treatment. Their physical attributes should reflect his role as guardian, companian and hunter.

Well the Florida circuit has started and Dugga is doing great, In Deland he got reserves both days to his Uncle and in Brooksville he took Winners Dog 1-8-09 and 1-9-09 on both days!  Earning him 3 points thus far.  Keep it up boy.  This Saturday and Sunday Jan.-10,11th-09 his two sisters will be joining him in the ring in Brooksville FL, Roxy and Nixie.  Lets go girls.

Dugga Boy recieved his first  Major today in Brooksville FL 1-18-09  for Winners Dog earning him 3 more points towards his Championship!  Good job Pino and Dugga Boy!!
The girls werent that blessed this week.  They will get theres just a little later.

To date Duggaboy has one major and 10 points he is doing great.  Were so proud of him and pino!

March 15, 2009 at the tender age of 10 Mo. old Ch TuckerRidge Dugga Boy Simba Ridge Earned his Championship today!!!  We are so proud, out of Ch Lilly Mandisa Tucker X MBIS MBISS Ch PupukeaRidge Ikaika O Spring Valley is their first puppy to earn their Championship. CH TuckerRidge Dugga Boy Simba Ridge Took Best of Breed two days in a row in the Florida circuit at Brooksville  Jan. 10,11, 2010!  Way to go Dugga.

CH TuckerRidge Dugga Boy Simba Ridge  Earned a group one Easter Day April 4, 2010  in Palmetto FL at the St. Petersburg dog show.   Under Judge Mrs. Sari Brewster Tiejen.  We are so proud of Dugga!!

Dugga Boy was the 2nd Ridgeback to get his Grand Championship in 2010!!!!
